Verreaux Eagle Owl Panya

His story

Panya was rescued just in the nick of time in 2004. He was a baby owl sitting on his nest somewhere in Usa River, when the nest was raided and fortunately for Panya, someone happened to pass by just at that particular time. Panya was confiscated and was brought to Makoa Farm where he has been living together with Macho, the other Verreaux Eagle Owl, ever since. Panya was named after his favourite food – rats. Unfortunately deceased in 2022….
