Palmnut vulture Tai

His story

Tai fell out of a tree in a private garden in Moshi, stiff and as good as dead. When it arrived at the KiliCREW a few hours later, intensive shock treatment was started immediately. From the symptoms the vets suspected acute poisoning, with some neurological disorders even up to this day. Hopefully he will recover with time, so that one day he may be back in the wild… again…

Very happy news for Tai! He recovered successfully and could be released again! In Summer 2021 he was set free at TPC, at a protected wildlife area, which has an existing Palmnut Vulture population. We hope he will use his second chance for a long and free life!
